This is an intensely personal story,yet I hope that by sharing it, you might feel my commitment to you as you consider joining our global family.

I named our company after my mother, Vea(pronounced Veaya), she was a wonderful woman who shapedthe values of her family. Like most mothers, she was very concerned about the health and welfare of her family. She believed that true health could be achieved by natural foods free from harmful ingredients and toxins.My mother was an avid gardener and she taught her children how to work and enjoy the fruits of the earth and its harvest.
我們的公司 ~ 威雅 (Veaya)，是以我母親名字Vea（發音 Veaya）命名，她是一個非常棒的女人，塑造了整個家庭的價值。就像大多數的母親一樣，她很關心家人的健康和福祉，她深信攝取不含有害成分及毒素的天然食物可獲得真正的健康。在家裡，我母親是一個狂熱的園丁，她教導孩子們如何工作，並享受地球上收成的果實。
As a young man, I was attending college at a local university. I was enjoying life and having fun. My mother’s
dream was for me to attend the prestigious, Brigham Young University in Provo Utah. She gently tried to convince
me to transfer but I resisted. My priorities were more focused on enjoying the present, more than thinking of the future.
當時我是一個年輕人，正就讀當地一所普通大學，我很享受學生生活的樂趣。然而我母親的夢想是我希望我進入名校，到猶他州普羅沃的楊百翰大學求學，她曾經試圖說服我轉學，但我並沒依照母親的意思去做，我只想要享受當下，沒有多去思考未來。
After a while, I accepted her invitation to visit the school, but I had no intention of leaving my friends and moving there.
在一段時間後，我還是接受了母親的邀請，到楊百翰大學參觀，不過我仍不想離開我的朋友辦轉學。
We made the trip together and the journey gave us time to talk. During that trip I became closer to my mother and truly began to understand her better than ever before. She told me about her love for her family, my father, my brothers and sisters. We shared our hopes and dreams. I was surprised to know that even at the age of 52, my mother stillbhad many exciting goals and objectives in her life. She wanted to travel and see far off lands and experience other cultures, write a book and become more involved in local theater. Many of her goals centered on her children.
這趟旅行讓我們母子有談心的時間，旅程中我與母親變得更親近，開始更了解她。她告訴我她對家族、我的父親、我的兄弟姐妹的愛。我們一同分享我們的希望和夢想。當時母親雖然已經 52 歲，但我很驚訝地發現，她仍然對生命充滿熱情，並且有清楚的目標。她一直都想出國旅行體驗其他的文化、寫書，以及參與本地戲劇的演出；其他的目標則集中在她的孩子身上。
She had three wishes for me:
1. That I would smile more.
2. That I would become closer to God.
3. That I would learn that true happiness and success comes from serving and loving others.
母親對我有三個願望：
1. 希望我能多笑一點；
2. 希望我能更接近神；
3. 希望我學習到真正的幸福和成功來自於服務他人及愛他人。
Upon our arrival, we toured the campus. It was a pleasant experience, yet I was not giving it any serious consideration. For me this was just a nice short vacation with my mom.
當我們抵達普羅沃時，我和母親參觀了校園，雖然這是一個還不錯的經歷，但我仍沒有轉學的念頭，對於我來說，這是只是個與母親一同旅行的經驗。
While in Provo, we stayed at my aunt’s house.
在普羅沃的時候，我們是住在阿姨家。
That evening, while having dinner, tragedy struck.
My mother had a sudden stroke and died.
當天晚上吃晚飯時，悲劇發生了，我的母親突然中風死亡。
Those of you who have suffered the unexpected loss of a loved--‐one understand the pain that comes from an event such as this.
For me, the world had shattered into pieces.I had to call my father and break the news to him and the rest of my family that Vea (Veaya)was not coming home.
若您曾經經歷過摯愛的親人突然離去，您或許可以理解那種痛，那時對於我來說，整個世界頓時粉碎成片。我不得不打電話給我的父親，告訴他與其他親友：Vea 不會回來了！
I returned home and a few days later I gave the eulogy at her funeral. I had no idea how popular she was until I saw the huge crowd in attendance.
回到家裡的幾天後，我在母親的葬禮上致悼詞，當我看到很多人出席告別式時，我才知道我的母親是如此地受歡迎。
My life would never be the same. A choice had to be made. I could spend the rest of life bitter and living in pain, anger and darkness or I could become a better person and enjoy each and every precious moment of this beautiful experience we call life.
我必須作出選擇，讓我的生命變得不同：我可以用剩餘的生命過著充滿苦澀、痛苦、憤怒和黑暗的生活，或者我也可以成為一個更好的人，享受及體驗生活中的每一個珍貴時刻。
Although I could never bring my mom back, I could decide to restore my own life!
雖然我無法帶回我母親，但我能決定重新啓動我的生命！
I chose LIFE!
我選擇了“生命”！
Since that time I have embraced life for myself and for my mother.
從那時候起，我為我自己和我的母親擁抱生命。
I immediately transferred to Brigham Young University and completed my degree.
後來我轉到楊百翰大學就讀，完成我的學士學位。
I have learned to smile more, sometimes for no reason at all.
我學會了不需要任何理由就可以時常微笑。
I have been blessed to visit the world and experience success in over 50 countries.
我很幸運有機會造訪了超過50 個國家，幫助很多企業成功。
Everywhere on this earth moms just like mine have the same dream for their family.
這個地球上，世界各地的每個母親都像我的母親一樣，為他們的家庭有著同樣的夢想。
A better life and opportunity for their children.
